UofT Robotics students win Best Paper Award at IEEE SSRR 2018

The publication entitled “Robot Navigation of Environments with Unknown Rough Terrain Using Deep Reinforcement Learning,” by Kaicheng Zhang, Farzad Niroui, Maurizio Ficocelli, Goldie Nejat won Best Student Paper Award at the 2018 IEEE International Symposium on Safety, Security, and Rescue Robotics (IEEE SSRR).

Kaicheng Zhang and Farzad Niroui are graduate students of the Autonomous Systems and Biomechatronics Laboratory, directed by Prof. Goldie Nejat.
