From May 19-23, University of Toronto Robotics Institute researchers will join the world’s top roboticists at IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA) 2025 – the leading international research conference on robotics and automation – taking place in Atlanta, Georgia.
With 32 papers across 17 research areas, two workshops, and two papers named as award finalists, institute faculty and students are showcasing the depth and breadth of the university’s world-leading research in application areas spanning healthcare, aerospace, field robotics, security, and more.
“ICRA is the global stage for robotics research, and it’s exciting to see our faculty and students driving innovation across so many emerging and foundational areas,” says Tim Barfoot, associate director, U of T Robotics Institute. “The breadth of the research – from healthcare to off-road autonomy – demonstrates the strength of the university’s interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to robotics.”
