On Monday, October 30, Robotics Institute faculty members Hugh Liu and Steve Waslander will participate as expert speakers at the Toronto Region Board of Trade’s first-ever industry and innovation showcase, Unleashing Innovation: Urban Mobility & Manufacturing Technology, focused on increasing investment in innovation across the region.
Liu will lead discussion and moderate the panel Urban Air Mobility (UAM) & AI: Skyborne solutions for the Next-Gen Business Landscape with speakers from Indro Robotics, Drone Delivery Canada and FIXAR. The panel will demystify how logistics, transportation, and adjacent industries can harness the synergies of aerial mobility and artificial intelligence.
Waslander will join the panel Beyond the Driver’s Seat: Autonomous Vehicle Networks Shaping the Future as an expert alongside speakers from Gatik and McCarthy Tétrault, moderated by Andrew Miller from Hatch. The panel will speak to the pivotal role Autonomous Vehicle Networks (AVNs) will play in the future of transportation.
